Elon Musk, the billionaire CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, announced at a town hall event in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, that his America PAC would award $1 million every day to a new signer of a petition until Election Day.
The initiative aims to promote support for the First and Second Amendments of the U.S. Constitution.
Musk unveiled the announcement during his speech on Saturday, stating, “We really want to get as many people as possible to sign this petition, so I have a surprise for you. And it’s that we’ll be awarding a million dollars randomly to people who have signed the petition. Every day, until the election.”

The petition itself reads, “The First and Second Amendments guarantee freedom of speech and the right to bear arms. By signing below, I am pledging my support for the First and Second Amendments.”
The first recipient of the million-dollar award was John Dreher, who expressed his admiration for Musk during the event. “I got your autobiography 10 years ago, and I’ve been following you ever since,” Dreher said. Musk encouraged Dreher to continue advocating for the petition and its goals.

Musk has been actively campaigning across Pennsylvania this week, emphasizing the state’s significance in the upcoming 2024 election.
His efforts are part of a larger strategy to mobilize voters in key battleground states.
According to recent Federal Elections Commission (FEC) filings, Musk was the sole donor to the America PAC, contributing approximately $75 million between July and the end of September.
During this three-month period, the PAC reportedly spent around $72 million.
Initially known for supporting Democratic candidates, including Joe Biden in previous elections, Musk endorsed former President Donald Trump this summer following a failed assassination attempt on Trump on July 13.

The America PAC has set an ambitious goal to gather 1 million signatures across Pennsylvania and other critical swing states, including Georgia, Nevada, Arizona, Michigan, Wisconsin, and North Carolina, by October 21.
This initiative is designed to bolster support for the First and Second Amendments among voters in these states.
Musk’s significant contributions to the America PAC have positioned him as a notable Republican megadonor.
He joins the ranks of other prominent GOP supporters, including banking heir Timothy Mellon and casino mogul Miriam Adelson, as reported by Reuters.
As the election approaches, Musk’s actions and financial support for the America PAC indicate his commitment to influencing the political landscape in favor of the Republican Party, particularly in pivotal states that will play a crucial role in determining the outcome of the upcoming presidential election.
