McDonald’s issued a statement on Sunday affirming that there is no record of Kamala Harris ever working at the fast-food chain, despite her repeated claims.

This development has sparked significant attention, leading to social media dubbing the situation “Stolen McValor.”

The controversy gained momentum after former President Donald Trump spent part of his weekend making French fries and working the drive-thru at a McDonald’s in Pennsylvania.

His actions were seen as a strategic move, allowing him to connect with everyday Americans while drawing attention to what many perceive as a misleading aspect of Harris’s biography.

MSNBC reportedly did not take the news very well.

Harris, who has been in the public eye for decades, first mentioned her employment at McDonald’s during a 2009 union event while preparing to launch her presidential campaign.

However, despite writing two memoirs that make no reference to her time at the restaurant, there has been no verification of her claims.

Media requests for confirmation from her campaign regarding her employment at McDonald’s have gone unanswered.

The lack of verifiable evidence has raised eyebrows, especially as many individuals can readily produce documentation of their past jobs. “As it so happens, I worked for a few months at a McDonald’s in the early eighties and could easily prove it by requesting documents and naming at least a dozen people who I worked with or who knew I worked there, including my parents,” noted a commentator.

In response to the growing scrutiny, McDonald’s issued a statement recognizing both Trump’s affinity for the brand and Harris’s purported memories of working there. “Though we are not a political brand, we’ve been proud to hear former President Trump’s love for McDonald’s and Vice President Harris’s fond memories working under the Arches,” the statement read.

It further noted that while they do not have records for all positions dating back to the 1980s, the shared experiences of working at McDonald’s are what make the company special.

The statement also mentioned that McDonald’s has extended an invitation to Harris and her running mate, Tim Walz, to visit one of their locations.

Adding to the mystery, employees at a McDonald’s in Alameda, California, reportedly told The Telegraph they had been instructed by management not to discuss Harris’s alleged employment at the restaurant.

Despite her claims of having worked at the Alameda location, Harris has declined to specify which McDonald’s she was supposedly employed by.

Critics have questioned the rationale behind these instructions. “Why would employees be instructed to remain silent if she had worked there? It seems to me that the only reason people would be told to say nothing is if she didn’t work there,” one commentator remarked.

This controversy appears to be an ongoing issue for Harris, as calls for clarity continue amid what many view as a lack of transparency.

The corporate media has faced criticism for not adequately investigating Harris’s claims, leading to speculation that they may be attempting to deflect attention from the story.

As the 2024 election approaches, the focus on Harris’s past employment and the response from McDonald’s may have implications for her campaign.
