At a packed rally in New York City’s Madison Square Garden on Sunday night, former President Donald Trump coined Election Day as America’s “Liberation Day,” rallying his supporters with promises of new policies and sharp critiques of the current Biden-Harris administration.

With just over a week until Election Day, Trump aimed to set a hopeful tone for his supporters, framing his campaign as a path to “bring back the American Dream.”

Trump’s speech featured a lineup of prominent supporters, including Bobby Kennedy Jr., Elon Musk, former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, and a surprise appearance by former First Lady Melania Trump, marking her first appearance on the campaign trail since the Republican National Convention.

During his address, Trump announced two new policy proposals focused on affordability.

The first was a proposed tax credit for families caring for aging parents or other family members.

His second proposal suggested a possible return to tax-deductible interest on car loans, with a unique twist: the deduction would apply only if the vehicle was manufactured in the United States. “We’re going to Make America Affordable Again,” Trump stated, emphasizing his commitment to pro-America economic policies.

Trump didn’t hold back on his critiques of Kamala Harris and the Democratic Party.

While addressing his opponents, he underscored that his campaign, alongside his running mate Senator JD Vance (R-OH), isn’t merely challenging Harris and Joe Biden.

Instead, Trump portrayed the race as a fight against what he called “a massive, vicious, crooked, radical left machine that runs today’s Democrat Party.”

He labeled Harris as a “vessel” and argued that the real struggle lies in dismantling what he described as a powerful and entrenched left-wing bureaucracy.

The former president also targeted Harris’s track record, referencing her time as California’s attorney general and as a U.S. senator, pointing to policies he claims have negatively impacted the state and the country.

He also reiterated a point about U.S.-China relations, previously discussed by political commentators, arguing that the current administration has been negligent in dealing with China, an issue he pledged to address decisively if re-elected.

The rally concluded with a spirited send-off, as the anthem “New York, New York” filled the stadium.

Melania Trump rejoined her husband on stage as he joined in singing Frank Sinatra’s iconic song, nodding to the idea that if success can happen in New York, it can happen anywhere—a message that resonated with Trump’s New York supporters.

As of this week, more than 29 million Americans have already cast their ballots either in-person or by mail, with both campaigns urging voters to participate.

The Trump campaign is focusing on bringing out every legal vote to what they describe as a critical “Liberation Day” on November 5, with Trump concluding, “Our country is depending on you.”
