Tulsi Gabbard has officially made the leap to the Republican Party, a move she says reflects her strong love for America and her admiration for former President Donald Trump’s leadership, as reported by Breitbart.

Speaking at a Trump rally in Greensboro, North Carolina, Gabbard emphasized her decision, praising Trump for revitalizing the GOP and turning it into a “party of the people” that champions equality and common sense.

Addressing the crowd, Gabbard explained that joining the Republican Party was a natural step for her, driven by her belief in the party’s values and her appreciation for Trump’s leadership.

“It is because of my love for our country and specifically because of the leadership that President Trump has brought to transform the Republican Party and bring it back to the party of the people and the party of peace, that I’m proud to stand here with you today President Trump and announce that I’m joining the Republican Party,” Gabbard stated.

“I’m joining the party of the people, the party of equality, the party that was founded to fight against and end slavery in this country. It is the party of common sense and the party that is led by a president who has the courage and strength to fight for peace.”

Gabbard has long admired Trump’s commitment to securing the nation’s borders and ensuring peace, both domestically and globally.

According to Gabbard, Trump’s first term demonstrated his dedication to peace by avoiding new wars and working to de-escalate global conflicts. She made it clear that her support for Trump is rooted in his proven track record of putting American interests first.

Her decision comes on the heels of her endorsement of Trump for president earlier this year.
