A group of left-wing activists gathered at Klode Park in Whitefish Bay, Wisconsin, on November 9, to take part in what was called a “primal scream” event following President-elect Donald Trump’s decisive election victory.

The gathering was an emotional expression of “pain and frustration” from individuals who struggled to accept the outcome of the election, where Trump secured a win over Kamala Harris.

The video footage captured during the event shows the group of participants standing near the shoreline, collectively letting out loud screams.

The event was organized by Tamara Gibbs, who later posted about the gathering on Facebook, explaining the purpose of the event was to release negative emotions after the election.

“What a gorgeous morning to gather at Klode Park in Whitefish Bay to engage in a Primal Scream in order to release our pain and frustration after the election,” Gibbs wrote on her Facebook post on November 9, less than a week after the election. “If you zoom in you will see Trump supporters proudly waving their flag on top of the hill. Many thanks to the MPD for keeping us safe,” she added, sharing images and videos from the event.

In one of the shared videos, the attendees are seen in a circle, with individuals taking turns expressing their emotions.

A woman at the event spoke about the need to work “now” at the local level to push forward a left-wing agenda.

Another attendee mentioned that her young granddaughter had expressed interest in seeing Harris run for president again in the future, as she wanted to help her “win.”

The event took place just days after President Trump’s victory, which saw him sweep all seven swing states — Michigan, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Georgia, Nevada, and Arizona — securing 312 electoral votes.

In addition to his electoral success, Trump also won the popular vote, which silenced some of the typical left-wing critiques of the Electoral College system.

In a move to rally her supporters, Harris issued a public statement nearly a month after her loss, her first since her concession speech.

During her message, she encouraged her followers not to let the election results strip them of their power.

“I just have to remind you, don’t you ever let anybody take your power from you,” Harris said. “You have the same power that you did before November 5 and you have the same purpose that you did. And you have the same ability to engage and inspire. So don’t ever let anybody or any circumstance take your power from you.”

Harris’s statement sparked some mockery online, as her disheveled appearance led some to speculate about her emotional state.

The aftermath of the election saw Harris’s senior campaign advisers acknowledging the challenges they faced in the run-up to Election Day.

In a candid moment on the “Pod Save America” podcast, David Plouffe, a senior adviser to Harris’s campaign, admitted that the team “didn’t get the breaks we needed on Election Day,” and noted that the polling data in the final months of the campaign had suggested a lead that was ultimately not realized.

The “primal scream” event, along with the reactions of the Harris campaign’s leadership, highlights the deep divide and frustration on the left following the unexpected election outcome.

Despite the emotional responses and the viral nature of the event, the reality remains that Trump’s victory has reshaped the political landscape and marked a significant moment in U.S. history.
