Nearly a dozen of President-elect Donald Trump’s Cabinet nominees and other appointees for the incoming administration were targeted Tuesday night with violent threats, prompting a swift law enforcement response, Fox News Digital has learned.

The threats, which included bomb threats and “swatting,” were aimed at multiple individuals set to take key positions in the new administration, according to Karoline Leavitt, the spokeswoman for the Trump-Vance transition team and incoming White House press secretary.

“Last night and this morning, several of President Trump’s Cabinet nominees and administration appointees were targeted in violent, unAmerican threats to their lives and those who live with them,” Leavitt said in a statement on Wednesday. “In response, law enforcement acted quickly to ensure the safety of those who were targeted. President Trump and the entire transition team are grateful for their swift action.”

Leavitt emphasized that the threats were not only directed at the appointees but also their families, heightening concerns over the safety of those involved in the transition to the incoming administration.

Local law enforcement officials responded immediately, visiting the homes of several nominees and appointees to ensure their security.

The law enforcement agencies involved in the response have not been named, but they were said to have acted quickly and effectively.

“The threats, while serious, will not derail our mission,” Leavitt added. “President Trump and the transition team remain focused on uniting the country and ensuring a prosperous and safe future for all Americans.”

The threats against the incoming administration’s appointees come just months after President Trump himself survived two assassination attempts.

In July, days before accepting the Republican nomination, Trump was shot at during a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.

As Trump turned toward a chart showing the Biden administration’s record on illegal immigration, a bullet struck him near his right ear.

The shooter, Thomas Matthew Crooks, was later killed, and Trump credits the chart for saving his life.

Just a few weeks later, in September, a second assassination attempt occurred.

Trump was playing golf at Trump International Golf Course in West Palm Beach, Florida, when a would-be assassin, identified as Ryan Wesley Routh, positioned himself behind a fence with an AK-47-style rifle aimed toward the candidate.

U.S. Secret Service agents quickly moved Trump to safety, and he was unharmed in the incident.

Leavitt and the transition team have expressed gratitude for the law enforcement response to these latest threats, reaffirming that the work of the incoming administration will continue despite the intimidation.

Trump and his team have emphasized that violence, threats, and acts of intimidation will not be allowed to interfere with the goals of the administration.

“These dangerous acts of intimidation will not deter us,” Leavitt stated. “We are focused on doing the work of uniting the country under President Trump’s leadership.”

The incident has reignited discussions about the level of political violence and the safety of public figures, particularly those in the midst of political transitions.

With the heightened threat environment, the incoming administration is prioritizing the safety of its team as they prepare to take office in the coming weeks.

The threats against Trump’s appointees highlight the growing divisions in American politics and the increasingly hostile climate surrounding public figures.

However, with law enforcement’s swift response and the determination of the transition team, the administration’s plans continue as scheduled.
