A teenage track star is finally facing consequences after viciously attacking a competitor mid-race. But in a move that defies all logic, she has found defenders willing to excuse the assault, as reported by The Gateway Pundit.
During the Virginia High School League (VHSL) Class 3 State Indoor Championships at Liberty University in Lynchburg, a disturbing incident left spectators in shock.
Brookville High School junior Kaelen Tucker was competing in the 4×200-meter relay when she suffered a brutal attack that forced her out of the race.

Tucker, running the second leg of the relay, was attempting to secure her position when Alaila Everett, a runner from IC Norcom High School in Portsmouth, did the unthinkable.
Instead of focusing on the race, Everett slowed down, cocked her arm back, and delivered a full-force baton strike to the back of Tucker’s head. The impact sent Tucker staggering off the track before collapsing in pain. She was later diagnosed with a concussion and a possible skull fracture.
As if the attack wasn’t shocking enough, Everett has since attempted to rewrite reality, claiming the clear-cut video evidence is misleading.
“After a couple times of hitting her, my baton got stuck behind her back like this, and it rolled up her back. I lost my balance when I pumped my arms again. She got hit,” Everett told WAVY in a bizarre explanation that defies both physics and common sense.

“I know my intentions and I would never hit someone on purpose,” she insisted.
Fortunately, authorities aren’t buying her weak excuses. The Lynchburg Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office confirmed that Everett is now facing assault and battery charges for her blatant attack on Tucker. Justice, it seems, is on its way.
But rather than condemning violence, the Portsmouth NAACP has inexplicably jumped to Everett’s defense. In an all-caps statement released Wednesday, the organization ranted:
“ALAILA IS NOT AN ATTACKER.”
Instead of acknowledging the appalling behavior caught on camera, the statement focused on condemning the media coverage and whining about supposed racist slurs directed at Everett.
Then came this absurd claim: “She has carried herself with integrity both on and off the field, and any narrative that adjudicates her guilty of any criminal activity is a violation of her due process rights.”

Integrity? Really? The video evidence tells a very different story. The left-wing obsession with playing the victim card is on full display here.
Instead of standing up for the innocent competitor who was assaulted, the usual activists are scrambling to shield the attacker from the consequences of her actions.

Yep, happens all the time. LOL! Noticeably absent are any Track & Field athletes, known or unknown, defending her. Her excuse is pathetic and laughable. She so obviously raised her elbow above her shoulder, extended her arm and whacked the other girl in the head. At no point were her mechanics a natural part of running or accelerating.
The NAACP would defend any Black person, no matter how heinous the crime, nor how solid the proof of guilt…including the perp in full video confession and action while committing the crime.

Correction: They would defend any LIBERAL black person no matter how heinous the crime. They would not defend a CONSERVATIVE black person from anything. Liberals have called Clarence Thomas and Condoleeza Rice all manner of racial smears with nary a peep from the NAACP . They only defend democrat plantation dwellers.
NAACP must employ a selection process I’m unaware of, as the attacker set her intentions on another black girl. Where is their mention of any well wishes for the other girls recovery or for her rights to compete on a fair and peaceful playing field.
The NAACP believes in the hug a thug approach.
Ban her from ALL further competitions.
